Welcome Everyone!
I’m glad you found my site. I want to share helpful tips I’ve learned in over 20 years of business storytelling. I wish I had these when I was starting my career.
It would have made my journey more enjoyable and quicker. It would have also made me a more persuasive, engaging, and concise Finance professional in front of Leadership.
Simple idea I heard recently to ponder on – Advice is overrated and action is underrated.
There is a famous story about Mozart that resonates when we are trying to learn something new:
A young man asked Mozart how to write a symphony. Mozart replied, “You are far too young to write a symphony.” The young man looked at him and said, “What? You have been writing since 10 years old and I am 21”. Mozart smiled and replied, “Yes, but I did not go around asking people how to do it.”
To me, it means you can read a lot of books. You can read many articles and listen to various videos, training sessions, or podcasts. Ultimately, you need to put it into use by ACTIONS. Otherwise, all the gathering of wisdom will be just the “gathering”.
Take some advice, act on it and adjust suitably.
Keep up the great work building yourself.
Ivan
